11/02/09- Remission shirts finally available!

Finally, I have some Remission shirts in the store. They were printed on white Bayside shirts, 100% made in the US, basically to avoid products made in poor countries where people aren't treated and paid well. I'm concerned about that thing  called "globalization" is a strategy to reduce taxes and costs to big corporations and to exploit people like you and me in extremely poor countries. I won't change the world doing this but at least I want to act according to my beliefs when I have the chance.

Prices are: $15.00 ppd to the US, $18.50 ppd to Canada & Mexico; and $22.50 ppd everywhere else. For those who haven't ordered the LP yet, there's a Shirt + LP Package available too for $25.00 ppd (US), $27.50 ppd (Canada/Mexico) and $34.00 ppd (Rest of the World). Go to the store.

We'll have a new Remission shirt design sometime soon, and probably some Maintain and Against All My Fears shirts when the split 7" between these 2 bands comes out. Maintain folks are going to record their songs in a couple weeks. Expect a release for this split 7" on early 2010.

Remission LP test presses covers will be in next week and those 2 test presses that I promised to give away will be sent to winners this month.

Bands are ready to tour: Remission and Against All My Fears will play some dates together in a Chile and will head up to Argentina in February 2010, while Maintain will be touring the US when the split 7" comes out.

Last but not least, Waterglass 12" EP will be out before this year ends, hopefully.

09/18/09- Upcoming releases

We'll be releasing at least one more record this year. Unfortunately, the split between Against All My Fears and Maintain has been delayed. Maintain just found a new drummer, and they're planning to record their songs in October. Expect a release for this by early 2010.

 

Otherwise, the Waterglass 12" EP will be released soon. Hopefully before this year ends. This will be a limited pressing of 100 copies on color vinyl and won't be repressed. Since Waterglass are not too famous outside their hometown, you can stream the entire Waterglass- "Chapters" 12" Ep here:

09/01/09- Remission- Accept LP is OUT NOW!

For all those who were impressed with the demo, I really think this LP will blow your mind. With these 9 songs, Remission delivers us a sound reminiscent of late 80's and early 90's bands such as Verbal Assault, One Step Ahead and Uniform Choice, but with a unique touch that makes this record a very progressive piece, with both awesome vocal and guitar works.

Lyrically this album is absolutely powerful and insightful, but direct at the same time. It goes from personal topics like true love and self-criticism, to social stuff like brutal consequences of Pinochet's dictatorship in Chile (similar to the recent right wing coup that took place in Honduras, but a lot more violent), the illusion of patriotism, social discrimination and imposition to believe in a dude with long hair, by our parents and society. These lyrics encourage you in a positive way to think for yourself and to struggle for what you think is fair in this sick world. Remission live shows could give you an idea that hardcore is more than music.
